An accident—a crack in the usual—suddenly opened up space for something wild. The scanned image fractured, pulled, stretched, and from that mess, something alive and new began to breathe.

In the summer of 2018, my exploration into scan art began unexpectedly. While scanning printed photographs from my film camera, a moment of misalignment altered the image, creating a distortion that sparked my curiosity. What started as an accident soon evolved into a deliberate practice—each scan becoming an experiment in morphing images and reshaping memories.

This series transforms static photographs into fluid, layered compositions, bending reality and inviting new stories to emerge. My process plays with the limits of the image, exploring how accidents and disruptions can open doors to creativity and reimagine the boundaries of visual storytelling.
