Home + Absence
2019
In March, at the height of spring’s bloom, I returned home to Geneva, seeking solace from the loneliness that had settled in New York City. Surrounded by the soft blues of open skies, magnolia blossoms, and the familiar faces of friends and family, I found myself rediscovering the quiet beauty of belonging.
This series captures moments of exploration under the March sun, where sky blue mingles with delicate petals and the contrasting textures of black leather.
Together, these elements weave a story of absence and return, of distance and closeness, as each photograph reflects fragments of my journey back to what feels like home. In the company of nature at its peak, I felt a sense of presence again—a reminder of connection, healing, and the tender spaces between departure and return.
